Built for your business

Business Software

Build a tool around the way your business actually works. Start with the tasks, records and decisions you manage every day, then agree on software that supports that work without adding unnecessary steps.

What custom business software is

Custom business software is a working tool for your company rather than a public brochure. It can bring related tasks and records into one place: a lead becomes a job, a job has documents and expenses, and a person needs to know what happens next. The structure should reflect the work you do, not an unrelated template.

The starting point is not a long feature list. It is a clear problem, such as information copied between spreadsheets or job details scattered across messages. We discuss what needs to be recorded, who uses it and what a useful result looks like. That conversation helps define a practical first scope before adding more complicated connections or automation.

Who custom business software is for

This service is for small business owners whose daily work is not well served by their current tools. A property business might need to connect costs to individual projects. A trades business might need a clearer path from enquiry to estimate and completed job. An independent team might need shared records without passing another spreadsheet around.

You do not need to arrive with every screen planned. Bring an example of a job, a description of your process and the parts that are difficult to keep track of. Only share records you have permission to use, and avoid sending passwords or sensitive details in an initial enquiry. We can use that starting point to discuss whether a custom tool is appropriate and what should be left out.

What is included in the software scope

The quote sets out the functions, records and access rules we are building. Depending on that scope, the software might cover leads, estimates, jobs, expenses, documents or another workflow specific to your business. Our own products show examples of those patterns, but their complete feature lists are not automatically included in a custom project. Connections to other services and data migration are discussed separately.

Every project includes mobile-friendly design, a private project portal for working with us, a handover guide and walkthrough, and 30 days of support after launch. Your code and business data belong in your own accounts. Full ownership transfers after final payment. We also discuss who will keep records current after handover, because a useful system needs a working process as well as screens and buttons.

How discovery, design, build, launch and support work

Discovery follows a piece of work through your business, from the first information you receive to the outcome you need. We identify the people, stages and records involved, then agree on scope and a quote. During design, we arrange those tasks into screens and decide which details need to be visible at each step. The goal is a workflow you can review in ordinary business terms.

During the build, you try a preview and check it against the agreed tasks. If data is being moved from another system, you review the imported records before launch. We then launch in your accounts and hand over the source code and guide. For 30 days, support covers fixes to work as built and small text or photo changes. New functions and larger changes need a separate quote before work starts. Ongoing care is optional, and future work can be discussed without changing your ownership.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to know which technology to ask for?

No. Describe the work you do, the records you keep and the problem you want to solve. Discovery turns that into an agreed scope so you can review the proposed functions in plain English before approving a quote.

Can you replace spreadsheets or older software?

We can discuss which tasks and records should move into a custom tool. Tell us what your current system does and what exports are available. Migration is scoped in advance, and you review imported data before launch.

Does my project include everything in your own apps?

No. Our products are examples of software we built and run ourselves. Your project has its own agreed scope, with the functions and connections listed in your quote. Additional features are discussed and quoted before work starts.

Can the software be changed later?

Yes. New features and larger changes can be scoped separately after launch. You own the source code and accounts after final payment, so future development is not tied to a required care plan with us.
